Universal EM-MWD Modem
(Transmitter / Receiver for both Downhole and Surface)
- Unrivaled in noise suppression and channel distortion elimination: Outperforms the leading competitors by over 5 dB, which is equivalent to being able to drill more than three times deeper

- Error Correction Coding: Convolutional, currently supported (7,5), (15,17), (31,33), (371,247), code rates ⅔, ¾, ⅘, ⅞, or any existing (encoded is the entire frame, not just the payload, which makes the modem even more resilient to noise and channel distortion)
- Multiple-antenna layout for better noise suppression: currently 2 (expandable to any number, limited by hardware)
- Coherent adaptive carrier synchronization by PLL

The BER curves of the Universal EM-MWD Modem
The BER curves of our Modem demonstrate the clear advantage over the competition. the Modem provides more than 8.5 dB improvement over an uncoded BPSK/MSK and 1.1 dB over MATLAB simulation for a coded coherent MSK receiver.
